Police Scotland will be opening the doors of Kirkintilloch Police Station as part of Doors Open Day 2026, giving members of the public an opportunity to meet their local officers and learn more about policing in East Dunbartonshire.
A variety of displays, demonstrations and engagement activities will take place in the rear car park, with plenty to see and do for visitors of all ages. Children and families are especially welcome.
The Lanarkshire Police Historical Society (LPHS) will be supporting the event with a display of vintage police vehicles, and providing a glimpse into Lanarkshire’s policing heritage.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet and see representatives and equipment from a wide range of Police Scotland departments and specialist units, including:
Mounted Branch
Quad Bikes
Support Unit
Criminal Investigation Department (CID)
Roads Policing
Marine Unit
Community Policing
Plus many other stalls, displays and activities
It promises to be an enjoyable and informative day, bringing together policing past and present.
