 tion\n\n\n\n\n\nSaturday\, 5 September 2026\n11.00am onwards\nPolice Scotl
 and will be opening the doors of Kirkintilloch Police Station as part of D
 oors Open Day 2026\, giving members of the public an opportunity to meet t
 heir local officers and learn more about policing in East Dunbartonshire.\
 nA variety of displays\, demonstrations and engagement activities will tak
 e place in the rear car park\, with plenty to see and do for visitors of a
 ll ages. Children and families are especially welcome.\nThe Lanarkshire Po
 lice Historical Society (LPHS) will be supporting the event with a display
  of vintage police vehicles\, and providing a glimpse into Lanarkshire’s
  policing heritage.\nVisitors will also have the opportunity to meet and s
 ee representatives and equipment from a wide range of Police Scotland depa
 rtments and specialist units\, including:\n\n\n 	Mounted Branch\n 	Quad Bi
 kes\n 	Support Unit\n 	Criminal Investigation Department (CID)\n 	Roads Po
 licing\n 	Marine Unit\n 	Community Policing\n 	Plus many other stalls\, di
 splays and activities\n\nIt promises to be an enjoyable and informative da
 y\, bringing together policing past and present.\nCome along\, meet the te
