This display, located at the Police Scotland Training Centre, Jackton, East Kilbride, presents a selection of historic policing equipment, documents, insignia and uniform items.
The exhibits show how policing in Scotland has changed over time, from early restraints, batons, whistles and notebooks to modern warrant cards, rank insignia and equipment. The items also highlight the history of Lanarkshire Constabulary, Strathclyde Police and the wider development of Scottish policing.
All items in this cabinet are provided by the Lanarkshire Police Historical Society.
