DESCRIPTION:In order to achieve their aspirations\, In January 2017 Police 
 Scotland designed and delivered the 4 day "Introduction to Policing Progra
 mme" to encourage people from minority ethnic communities to consider a ca
 reer in policing. This programme is designed to encourage ethnic minority 
 candidates to consider a career as a police officer with Police Scotland. 
 Candidates will receive mock fitness tests\, mock exam under exam conditio
 ns\, interview and application form guidance. They will receive presentati
 ons from various policing specialist departments and will visit the Scotti
 sh Police College.\n\nThe first successful batch of officers are due to be
  confirmed in the rank of Constable at a special ceremony at the SPC on Th
 ursday 27 June. This will be a big event which will be attended by approx.
  120 guests\, senior police officers\, hopefully MSP Humza Yousaf along wi
 th several media outlets. \n\nLanarkshire Police Historical Society has be
 en asked to provide a display containing police memorabilia in the 'Crush 
 Hall' at the Scottish Police College.
